Home

I arrived home about 8:00 this evening, with no problems on the highway.

My midterm grades are due Tuesday, but I'm not caught up on paper grading, nor have I set up the software at school to be my grade book.  I steadfastly REFUSE to spend the hours upon hours calculating spelling and language arts grades by hand.  (Calculate spelling, then calculate language arts, then do the calculation to make spelling only 20% of the grade.)  It takes an hour per class...times six.  Six hours, plus the time it takes to enter the grades into the software and hope there are no glitches...

I worked really hard at Meg's this weekend.  Did at least 10 loads of laundry and bunches of dishes.  (My choice.)  When I got home, it occurred to me that I wasn't a guest there, and I hadn't spent much quality time with my grandchildren.  I figured that something was wrong when Robin told me that it was a beautiful day, but messy inside the house...and that I needed to clean things up before I went home.  I think it's time to change my role in Muncie!

Some funnies:  Already mentioned that Robin gave me a flower on last visit to remember the good times we'd had.  This time, she gave me a withered leaf for the same reason.  And then there was the "falling in love with you" thing...  Robin told me last night that she wanted to be a bride and wanted to marry Daddy.  When I told her that she might want to find someone her own age, she said, "Like Ryan when he's four?"  Uh... ..   Today, Ryan ran around in shorts with no underwear.  At one point outside, he pulled his pants down to expose some parts.  When I told him that he shouldn't do that, he said, "But I'm a boy!"  See what we are dealing with here??  The funniest kid-thing this weekend, however, was when Ryan reached over at the breakfast table, pinched his mother's breast and said, "Honk!"  I blame Daddy for that!

I am entirely exhausted.  Even the dog has disappeared into the recesses of our little home.  Tomorrow starts a new week.  Help!
