So...rotten face...but new hair. New hair? Yup! The other day, I noticed some cute little short hairs--about an inch worth--along the scar from the summer's surgery. It ain't much, but it's all I've got!
I do like the weekends! The children are with their father in Muncie; I have been doing non-stop laundry all day. (Also got in a nice long nap.) I'm hoping to have that finished tonight so I can do some repairs tomorrow. Have some projects that have been waiting for me...
The children's other set of grandparents--Nathan's folks--just came back from a retirement trip to Hawaii. They came back to find out that one of Grandma Judy's favorite uncles had passed away. Welcome home to cold weather. Welcome back to reality. When Uncle Dale's wife passed away a mere three months ago, Judy ended up doing a lot of the preparations because all of Aunt Betty's immediate family was men. They needed her to find appropriate burial clothing, etc. That family has had its share of family deaths lately--but thankfully, all of those who have passed had lived long and full lives. May God grant that to the rest of us!
