Housework Day

I slept in a little bit today because I was up late last night. Hey...8:00 AM is late for me!

No sun today. Just clouds and rain later in the day. I stayed in and worked on the house. Understand that the kitchen table had become a receptacle for things from the patio that I wanted to keep, so I found places for those. Cleaned off other kitchen surfaces. Did a load of dishes in the 'shwasher. Folded one load of laundry and washed three more. Started piles of things that I want to pack for the trip. That kind of thing...

One Friday night per month, my church has a thing called Snack 'n Craft. It's sort of a ladies night out for those that want to get out of the house and work on their craft projects. They used to provide babysitting, but Megan and I were the only ones who ever needed it. When Meg and Nathan moved to Muncie, Meg didn't attend at all...then when Meg and the children all moved here, Meg was never available because she was usually driving the children to Muncie to visit their father for the weekends. ANYWAY, I used to go with a stack of papers to grade. (There was room to spread out and dedicated time to work on them.) Tonight, I decided to go in order to do some mending that was mounting up. I took two boxes of thread organizers with me along with two sewing materials boxes. After I got the mending done, I spent my time cleaning and organizing the boxes...something that has needed to be done for years. Why? I haven't done much sewing for centuries...but I couldn't have found anything even if I wanted to! Now, I can.
It also gave me a chance to visit with a couple of ladies from the church. Good people.

And now it's time to hit the hay. Have to be alert for the SAROF net tomorrow since I am the new national NCO. God help me!
