Interesting Email

I heard from my bro-in-law a couple of days ago that my sister fell by their pool and broke both bones in her left arm.  I guess it was her turn for an emergency, but I don't like it very much--and she hates it!  It will get better, Shari.  Just lower your standards a bit.  You have no other choice.  And now it is also your turn to ask for help.

Have been taking the children to swimming lessons this week.  Robin, who was everyone's favorite in swimming lessons in Muncie, has been somewhat eclipsed by her brother.  For some reason, he was put in a more advanced group.   He is only four, but has just amazed me with his tenacity.  Robin is in a baby group, way below her abilities...but she gets more attention because two of the five-member group get out of the water and refuse to participate (in spite of their daddy's interference).  I am getting a tan in the process.

For the last two days, I have accomplished nothing on the wallpaper stripping.  I wanted to have the room ready for painting this weekend, but it ain't gonna happen.  Today, I largely couldn't hack it.  I went to the bedroom after taking the children to day care and didn't wake up until almost 12:30 PM.  I don't care.  I have been going full-tilt all summer.  So has Meg.  If it gets done, we'll be lucky.

Tomorrow, I am taking the children to IUPUI to share in a picnic lunch with their mother at work.  We will also have them for the Fourth.  They will spend 24-hours with Daddy in Muncie thereafter.

Not much is getting done right now.  I don't care!  Am doing what I can...and what I can't doesn't matter.

In case I don't get back here, Happy Independence Day to all of my friends!  You know who you are!
