Tomorrow is a half-day with students, reverse schedule...which means, essentially, that I hardly have to teach before the critters get sent home for the day and the teachers have an in-service. The topic for the in-service is "Autism Overview". More and more students are being diagnosed with autism and/or Asperger's Syndrome. It gets harder and harder to meet everyone's learning needs...
Friend Patrick-in-Crisis had a broncoscopy this morning. The doctors are still scratching their heads about what went wrong with Pat's lungs to cause near respiratory collapse while he was in their care, but that particular crisis is over, for now. The broncoscopy brought up some foreign body that has been sent to the lab. (That could be the culprit, right there!) In any case, please keep up the prayers for him. It isn't anywhere near over yet!
I have had such a busy evening that I'm not ready to go to Muncie. May have to delay the trip until Saturday morning. We'll see. In the meantime, I have a student in the ham radio club at school who thinks he is ready to test...and my ham radio Volunteer Examiner buds have risen to the occasion to see if we can get a new amateur operator out of the deal on Monday.
And then there is the upcoming Superbowl. I don't give a big rip about the Superbowl, usually, but my two "favorite" teams are facing off, so I have to do something for the occasion. Go Colts!
