The more I clean, the more I realize how filthy everything is. I need a maid! The cobwebs alone are embarrassing.
I have come to the conclusion that the kitchen carpeting--WELL over 15 years old--has got to go. The carpet shampooer makes it look good for a week or two, but then the stains reappear and look worse than ever. I'm not crazy about the idea of spending the money on kitchen flooring when the main bathroom needs a new floor so badly, but it just isn't healthy. The dog hasn't helped...nor have the grandkids. If the stains were anything less than dog urine, I wouldn't be so concerned....but, well...you get what I'm saying.
Tomorrow, the grandchildren will be going with Daddy after day care. Somehow, between the time that they leave and the time Meg gets home in the evening, I have to get the house clean for a dinner guest AND get everything done for Field Day. I have my magic wand!
