I got an email from my sister in Illinois the other day saying that their beloved 7-year-old Siberian Husky (Cain) had to be euthanized on Saturday. He had a "catastrophic event" that rendered him nearly immobile. (The vet suspects a stroke.) They adored that dog as much as a child. (Our pets ARE our children!) They are devastated, especially (I think) because of the sudden nature of his illness. No time to prepare for the end...
The Rainbow Bridge can be a scary place for those of us who haven't crossed it with out pets, especially when we are the ones who have to make The Decision about our furry buddies' quality of life.
Roger and Shari, I'm sure thinking of you in your sadness. God bless...
